Today is Gymea Spring fair, where the main road is closed to traffic and there is lots of fun and entertainment.
It was a bit windy for the 195 stalls, but they are expecting about 55 000 people to attend. The police and fire brigade were there, and you could sit in the front seat.
WIRES (wildlife rescue) had a taxidermied echidna, which was not one of their successful rescues.
We tried a potato on a stick covered in chicken salt, but it tasted like it had more salt than potato.
The scouts were there with a climbing wall which was popular.
There were also the usual fashion and knick knack shops and Kirrawee High school were playing music on the stage.
It had a good atmosphere and there were performers walking around. It was good for local businesses, especially the local cafes. The butchers, Wrights and Stapletons were cooking a BBQ which smelled great and there was a model train exhibit in the community centre.
